A Water World on an eccentric orbit, a landable planet near a star, and some Notable Stellar Phenomena.
Notice: This POI shares the same star system with a prior existing entry in the Galactic Mapping Project (GMP). You can visit the original entry using the link below:
Icarus' Rest is located around 1,450 ly below the galactic plane, and offers three points of interest. The first is terraformable Water World (A 3) on an elliptic orbit around a neutron star.
The second one is a lone landable planet (B 1) around a red dwarf star, orbiting it at a distance of only 1.98 ls. The average surface temperature is around 1,650 K. Commanders are advised to watch the heat levels of their ship on approach (and to bring heatsink launchers if they can), and should they decide to disembark on the surface, to keep in mind that their spacesuits cannot handle such extreme temperatures for long.
In addition, there are two Notable Stellar Phenomena: Albulum Gourd Molluscs, and metallic crystals.
