Earth-Like Dance With Giant (planetFeatures), IC 1396 Sector RU-F d11-7

Description:

The highlight of this system is the Earth-like moon of a gas giant, 5 a, which has its own nested moon (5 a a) that orbits it very closely. The rocky moon has no atmosphere of its own, and at this short distance, its Earth-like parent fills up much of its sky. It's large enough that Commanders can easily make out not just the continents, but smaller islands as well.

The rocky moon has no atmosphere of its own, and no life can be found on it. However, there is surface volcanism (Rocky Magma) on the moon, which provides even better photo opportunities.

A tourist beacon has also been deployed to the system, titled "Earth-like dance with giant", which transmits the following message when scanned:

Tourist Spot 0254
This delightful earth-like planet orbiting a gas giant was suggested by Commander PEARCY.
