SUMMARY
A moon orbits a perfect blue marble capped with an ice cap, orbiting a class Y dwarf.A nested moon orbits a blue marble-looking water world capped with an ice cap, which in turn orbits a class Y dwarf star.
DESCRIPTION

A terraforming candidate water world (2 b) orbits a wide ringed class Y dwarf. The atmosphere is so clear it appears as a marble with pure white ice caps.

Water World

Orbiting closely, every 6.2 hours, is a contrasting nested moon, (2 b a). This moon is covered by one big mesa providing three contrasting landscapes: dark volcanic rock, sulphur, and ice. The mesa provides interesting canyons. The moon is also volcanic in nature.

Coverd by mesa

In the correct location, the blue marble of the parent dominates the sky. After weeks in the blackness of space, the view provides a very colourful rest for the eyes.

System map

Mithras was the Roman god of marble!

A terraforming candidate water world (2 b) orbits a wide-ringed class Y dwarf star. The planet's atmosphere is so thin and clear that it appears as a blue marble with pure white ice caps.

Water World

Orbiting it closely, every 6.2 hours, is a contrasting nested moon, (2 b a). The surface provides three contrasting landscapes: dark volcanic rock, sulphur, and ice. The moon is also volcanic in nature, and is crossed by impressive canyons.

Covered by mesa

The nested moon orbits the planet so close that from its surface, the view of its blue marble parent planet dominates the sky. For Commanders who have spent long weeks in the darkness of space, the colour of this world provides a welcome rest for the eyes.

System map

The system is named after Mithras, the sun god and central deity of Mithraism, a Greco-Roman mystery religion.
