DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
A terraforming candidate water world (2 b) orbits a wide ringed class Y dwarf. The atmosphere is so clear it appears as a marble with pure white ice caps. Orbiting closely, every 6.2 hours, is a contrasting nested moon, (2 b a). This moon is covered by one big mesa providing three contrasting landscapes: dark volcanic rock, sulphur, and ice. The mesa provides interesting canyons. The moon is also volcanic in nature. In the correct location, the blue marble of the parent dominates the sky. After weeks in the blackness of space, the view provides rest for the eyes. Mithras was the Roman god of marble! | → | A terraforming candidate water world (2 b) orbits a wide ringed class Y dwarf.
