SUMMARY
This planetary outpost is part of the Colonia Connection Highway network built in 3302. A great place to replenish and disembark, featuring the Vostok-1 Nebula in the background at all times. This planetary outpost is part of the Colonia Connection Highway network built in 3302. A great place to replenish and disembark, although without a shipyard.
DESCRIPTION

Gagarin Gate is a small outpost with a total of 10,000 colonists living within its walls. It features most of the services passing travelers would look forward, such as Vista Genomics and Universal Cartographics. The planet itself is tidally locked, offering a permanent view of the Vostok-1 Nebula behind while the base is permanently on the night side.

The current government seems to be in a cooperative boom economy (subject to change), that despite been in the system for several years it hasn't expanded towards other planets in the system; contrary to other similar operations deep in the black. Thus Gagarin Gate seems to be the only planetary base in a 2000 light year radius.

The base itself is named in honor Yuri Gagarin, a Russian-Soviet pilot and cosmonaut, that was the first human to journey into outer space. when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on 12 April 1961

Finally, the planetary base features a relatively closed circuit highway for SRVs. Visitors are encouraged to at least disembark on their vehicles and take a lap or two.

Gagarin Gate is a small planetary base with a total of 10,000 colonists living within its walls. It features most of the services passing travelers would look forward, such as Vista Genomics and Universal Cartographics. However, there is no Shipyard available. The planet itself is tidally locked, offering a permanent view of the Vostok-1 Nebula in the sky, while the base is permanently on the night side.

The base is run by the Colonia Council, similar to the other remote planetary bases on the Colonia Highway. As such, events in Colonia can influence the economy here too. Although many remote outposts in the galaxy have expanded and built settlements on other bodies within their respective systems, the systems originally settled by the Council haven't. As such, Gagarin Gate remains the only permanently inhabited location in the system.

The base itself is named in honour of Yuri Gagarin, a Russian-Soviet pilot and cosmonaut, who was the first human to journey into outer space when his Vostok spacecraft completed a full orbit of the Earth on 12 April 1961.

The planetary base features a relatively closed circuit highway for SRVs. Visitors are encouraged to disembark with their vehicles and drive a lap or two.
