Description: Isolation is a constant companion for us explorers... especially in the desolate Formidine Rift. But some places can make that feel truly tangible. Suspended 1,590 ly above the galactic plane, with a majestic view of the Milky Way, a small moon (4 c) orbits a ringed gas giant. Its parent star, a dim white dwarf, bathes the moon in a faint, ghostly glow. When the moon is silhouetted against the Milky Way, it is said to evoke a haunting sense of solitude and wonder.
The explorer who first discovered this moon spoke of hearing "faint, almost melodic whispers in the stillness, as though the moon itself carried the echoes of forgotten truths". The combination of the moon's profound darkness and the radiant band of the Milky Way overhead can stir the imagination, drawing Commanders to dive farther into the void, deeper into the Formidine Rift, out to the edge of our galaxy. | |
