Summary: One of only two systems hosting Stolon Trees and their pods, with scenic views of the nearby (10 ly) nebula. It also contains a body with Crystalline Shards yielding Antimony.
Description: This is one of two systems containing Stolon Trees and pods. Its twin Alastor is in the nearby nebula and is the home of the DSSA Solsen's Alastor, which occasionally will make the short hop between the systems. The system hosts several scenic views featuring the nearby nebula. There are two Notable Stellar Phenomena in the system. The nearest to the main star has a Viride Lagrange Cloud, which when lit by the star can appear in a vibrant yellow. The Stolon Trees are very much larger than even a ship like the Anaconda. They have multiple arms with a hinged container for the pod. The pods may be found floating free, with or without the container. They have several distinct states: they may be open or closed, and they might carry a "pearl" or be empty. (See a video here.) Research limpets can also be used to retrieve samples from these seed pods. The second Notable Stellar Phenomena signal is inside the rings of planet A 7 and contains an unidentifiable Ice Crystal that can cause a temperature drop if closely approached. When composition scanned, no identification is presented and no entry logged to the ship's computer. The crystal is similar to the Purpureum Ice Crystal, but has many extra spikes compared to it. Planet B 5 contains surface life in the form of Crystalline Shards, which can be shot to release Antimony. In fact, Asterius is a so-called "green" system, meaning all materials can be prospected from the surface of the bodies here. Many of the materials can be found around volcanic features, making them easy to collect. The shards are challenging to locate, but can be found near latitude 3.48163, longitude 12.79011
