Description: The surface of the 6 a moon is only 130 km away from the metal-rich ring of its Helium-Rich Gas Giant parent. At this short distance, the movement of the rocks that make up the ring can be seen with the naked eye.
In Greek mythology, "Kokytos" refers to one of the five rivers of the underworld. According to the Orphic tradition, it receives the souls of murderers. Since the ring is located in the zone of the landing approach, daredevil pilots can fly through it in supercruise.
Under special circumstances, the second Helium-Rich Gas Giant of the trinary is also visible.
The proximity of the ring allows Commanders to reach the ring directly after launch from the moon, without entering supercruise.
In honor of the POI: Ice Breaker - also located in the Izanami region - the nickname for Kokytos is "Metal-Rich Breaker".
