Summary:

A lonely and isolated system hosts some of the galaxy's rarest flora, lit by a white dwarf star.

Description:

In a remote part of the galaxy lies a system containing some of the most unusual organic samples yet found in the galaxy. The keenest exobiologists will surely want to visit these most desirable of finds.

However, determination is another required trait for potential explorers as the system is reachable only by a series of extended jumps, mostly requiring jet-cone or FSD boosts to cover the vast distances between the approach systems.

At the heart of Vuchaae NC-V d2-0 is a pulsating White Dwarf DAV class star, around which a full system of secondary stars and planets orbit.

VUCHAAE NC-V D2-0

Two moons orbiting the A 1 planet hold the real reason to visit:

A 1 c is a rocky world encompassed by a pure ammonia atmosphere with the following 5 bios:

  • Bacterium Alcyoneum - Ocher
  • Cactoida Peperatis - Turquoise
  • Frutexa Flammasis - Indigo
  • Fungoida Setisis - Gold
  • Tussock Catena - Maroon

A 1 d is also rocky, but with an atmosphere made up of 99% carbon dioxide. It hosts the following species:

  • Bacterium Aurasus - Ocher
  • Stratum Limaxus - Mauve
  • Tussock Propagito - Maroon

With the exception of the Fungoida, all floral forms are assured their colours' rarity thanks to the hosting white dwarf star.

Of course, the presence of that white dwarf ensures that very little light actually reaches the surfaces of these moons, so the challenge of finding and sampling these plants continues even once the Commander has touched down.

Near darkness is the best light one can hope for on the surface.

Further out in the system, another planet, C 1, orbits its T class dwarf star and hosts a further 6 bio varieties:

  • Bacterium Alcyoneum - Red
  • Fungoida Setisis - Gold
  • Tussock Catena - Teal
  • Stratum Tectonicas - Grey
  • Cactoida Peperatis - Orange
  • Osseus Spiralis - Emerald
