Iris Vacations is an asteroid base with beautiful views of the Iris nebula. The station's economy is built on tourism, and as such, it is quite busy with plenty of cruise liners arriving at and departing from it. Given that it's approximately 1,500 ly away from Sol, Iris Vacations is a great choice for budget-conscious tourists who would like to spend time away from inhabited space, but can't afford (or aren't willing) to travel far. The base is also a popular stop for both cruise ships and explorers who are headed farther West.

Years after the asteroid base was constructed, settlements have been built on various bodies in the system. Some of these are agricultural and mining settlements, dedicated to supporting the asteroid base, but others are built for tourism. Vacationers who aren't fond of weightlessness can spend their holiday down on the surface instead. For those who prefer isolation, Faucher's Venue is 250,000 ls away from the arrival star, and as such, it receives very little traffic.
