A colourful green gas giant, one of the earliest discovered ones, with a considerable amount of oxygen in its atmosphere. | → | A colourful green gas giant, one of the earliest discovered ones, with a considerable amount of oxygen in its atmosphere. |
DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
The green gas giant (body 2) in this system is one of the first ones discovered, and the one with the earliest confirmed discovery date (3302. Jan. 23). Unfortunately, when the Codex was introduced a few years later, some cataloging errors meant that this one wasn't correctly logged there. As for the gas giant itself, most of it is covered in green, so it's visually quite impressive. When it comes to the various characteristics, it's similar in most aspects to the other green gas giants: the only exception is that this one has a substantial amount of oxygen in its atmosphere, which at the time of writing only two other such giants do. This system is cold enough that the only planets are either gas giants or icy bodies. Some of the icy moons of the green gas giants are landable, so Commanders can step out from their spaceships and admire the view of the gas giant on foot.
