DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
→ | The Devil's Hair nebula sits over a thousand lightyears above the galactic plane near the border of the Circinus Transit and Norma Expanse. This small, wispy red & pink colored nebula has an approximate 10 light-year radius and no star systems situated within the dust cloud. The closest system is Puelaa OD-V b8-0 at roughly 10 lightyears away, where these pictures were taken. A menacing looking face is clearly visible within the darker red area of the nebula. | |
