| DESCRIPTION | ||
| → | ||
| → | Body AB 5 is a Class II Green Gas Giant that was discovered early on in the Distant Worlds 3 Expedition. It is embedded within a dense field of hot young stars and is also the first Green Class II to be discovered in Odin's Hold.
Compared to other Class II GGGs, this one has remarkably more exotic cloud coloration than others, featuring a hazy pink equatorial cloud band that encircles the planet. This is also where bright green storms can be found.
The GGG's innermost moon is very volcanically active and orbits its parent in 1.5 days.
The discoverer named this GGG Sash of Sapphires, hearkening to the pink cloud band that holds the only green storms on the body, likening them to green sapphires. | |
