The Chroan Crystal Reefs are the ice rings of body 2 in this system. Commanders can find:

  • Purpureum Ice Crystals
  • Prasinum Ice Crystals
  • Roseum Ice Crystals
  • Flavum Ice Crystals

The reefs are home to Roseum Squid Molluscs, a species of cosmozoan found throughout the Formorian Frontier. Unlike gourd molluscs, which are found throughout the Inner Orion Spur, these molluscs will immedately retreat from ships' headlights. Weapons fire will also cause the molluscs to withdraw, though it doesn't appear to actually harm the creatures.
