SUMMARY | ||
A black hole close to a planetary nebula, giving spectacular lensing effects, as well as four other similar black holes in the same stellar graveyard. | → | A black hole close to a planetary nebula, giving spectacular lensing effects, as well as four other similar black holes in the same stellar graveyard. |
DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
This system is in one of the galactic core's stellar graveyards, not far outside the [Graveyard Ghosts] zone in the same Wepaa sector. The black hole here is 19 ly away from the Wepaa ZF-O e6-437 planetary nebula. At such a distance, the cloud appears large enough that with careful positioning, Commanders can witness some spectacular sights via gravitational lensing. The bending of light can be used to see teardrop shapes and Einstein rings. This POI has been nicknamed "Einstein's Telescope Array" because there are three other similar locations within 1,500 ly. These are: Agnairt ZA-W e2-2117, 150 ly from the large Agnairt AA-A h36 nebula: Pha Aob DW-N e6-4012, 8 ly from the Pha Aib DW-N e6-8149 planetary nebula: Pha Aob FB-O e6-5816, 21 ly from the Pha Aob FB-O e6-1741 planetary nebula: | → | This system is in one of the galactic core's stellar graveyards, not far outside the Graveyard Ghosts zone in the same Wepaa sector.
