DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
In a young system with five T Tauri stars, orbiting a large B-class primary, there sits an unusual gas giant along the furthest edges. Body 12 a is unique with its rare coloration, typical browns and beiges mottled by large swathes of pink clouds, with small patches of bright, neon green speckled throughout. The giant's colors are vaguely reminiscent of neopolitan ice cream. Caused by an unknown form of bioluminescent extremophile bacteria, the vibrant patches of green stand out in stark contrast to the faded hues of the rest of the planet. Unusual even for the fabled Green Gas Giants, this body also possesses sharp, harsh thorn-like patterns scattered across her surface. Almost appearing like shards of verdant glass, or visual artefacts across the screens of ancient Earth devices, they stand out even amongst the already rare pink-and-green coloration of this gas giant. It is unknown what causes these strange formations of bioluminescence, but they turn an already strange and beautiful planet, into something even more incredible. | → | On the farthest reaches of a young system, orbiting a T-Tauri star which in turn orbits a B-class primary, sits an unusual gas giant. It is unknown what causes these strange formations of bioluminescence, but they turn an already strange and beautiful planet, into something even more incredible. These cloud patterns might be caused by another unique feature of this body: it was the first Green Gas Giant that was discovered on a planetary orbit, around a T-Tauri star, which in turn orbits the system's primary. The proximity of a star and the interactions with it probably have a strong influence on the gas giant's atmosphere. |
