SUMMARY | ||
→ | A mottled pink Class III Green Gas Giant, with patches of vibrant green clouds in the upper atmosphere.
DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
→ | In an unusual system with five T Tauri stars, orbiting a large B-class primary, there sits an unusual gas giant along the furthest edges. Body 12 a is unique with its bizarre coloration, typical browns and beiges mottled by large swathes of pink clouds, with small patches of bright, neon green speckled throughout. The giant's coloration is vaguely reminiscent of neopolitan ice cream. Caused by an unknown form of bioluminescent extremophile bacteria, the vibrant patches of green stand out in stark contrast to the faded hues of the rest of the planet. Unusual even for the fabled Green Gas Giants, this body also possesses sharp, harsh "thorn" patterns scattered across her surface. Almost appearing like shards of verdant glass, or visual artefacts across the screens of ancient Earth devices, they stand out even amongst the already rare pink-and-green coloration of this gas giant. It is unknown what causes these strange formations of bioluminescence, but they turn an already strange, but beautiful planet, into something far more incredible.
