DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
The first two planets of this system are Class III Gas Giants forming a close binary pair. They complete an orbit around their common barycentre in one day. As this system is located 1,400 lightyears above the galactic plane, the galaxy provides a stunning backdrop to the pair's graceful dance around each other. Reflecting their tumultuous atmospheres, their names are derived from two giants in nordic mythology: Kari (Tempest) and Beli (Storm). View of both giants: The gas giants eclipsing the main star: | → | The first two planets of this system are Class III Gas Giants forming a close binary pair.
