DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
→ | The twins are icy bodies AB 3 b (Giacomo) and AB 3 c (Giovanni) that collide approximately every two years and remain conjoined for 24 hours. Named after Giacomo and Giovanni Battista Tocci the conjoined twins from 19th Century Italy who inspired Mark Twain to write the novel, "Pudd'nhead Wilson". The bodies closely orbit a chocolate and cream coloured jovian gas giant. Which permits some spectacular views. Due to the slow speed of impact it is possible to fly through the gap between the two moons for a prolonged period of time. Both moons have Water Ice Geysers and Water Ice Fumeroles. Some people have attempted to traverse the gap between the planets using the Geysers for propulsion. | |
