SUMMARY
This is the only known area in the galaxy containing Octagonal Pods and the Void Hearts associated with them, as of February 3309.This is the only known area in the galaxy containing Octahedral Pods and the Void Hearts associated with them, as of February 3309.
DESCRIPTION

This system was first discovered by CMDR Mist0 and was named The Brain Forest for the Brain Trees found on A 1 a. However, this system has since become far more famous for the Chryseum Void Hearts within the Notable Stellar Phenomena points of interest in the rings of Planet A 1.

Octagonal Pods accompany the Void Hearts in this system. When struck by weapon fire, these pods will release a corrosive gas that will directly damage a ship's hull. The effects of the gas will dissipate after 15-30 seconds.

Both the Void Hearts and the Octagonal Pods emit sounds when a ship is close to them. The latter emit metallic "pinging" noises, while the Void Hearts make sounds similar to creaking branches. The active Hearts can also be heard making sounds that sound vaguely like whispers.

Shrogaae KK-A d983 was first discovered by CMDR Mist0, who noted the location for the Brain Trees found on the A 1 a moon. However, later on the system become far more famous for the Chryseum Void Hearts, and the less impressive Octahedral Pods, which can be found within the Notable Stellar Phenomena points of interest in the rings of Planet A 1. As of February 3309, the Hearts and Pods have only been found in this area, within 100 ly of the Eorl Auwsy AA-A h72 nebula, nicknamed the Epiphany nebula.

The Void Hearts produce seed pods, which have been named Octahedral Pods. When these are struck by weapon fire, they release a corrosive gas that will damage a ship's hull.
