SUMMARY | ||
→ | Located on the A 2 a moon, this is a natural formation that's enclosed by walls which are 2 km high, making it an ideal racing circuit.
DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
→ | At the coordinates given above, on the A 2 a icy moon, is a rare sight: a "bowl" which is fully enclose by towering walls, which reach 2 km in height. This formation is natural, though how exactly it came to be remains a mystery. This site is of interest not just to geologists, nor to explorers looking to marvel at its natural beauty, but also to people looking to stage races. The walls provide natural boundaries, making the site suitable for competitions using all sorts of vehicles. For SRVs in particular, CMDR Alec Turner mapped out a course for such races: However, the system is 8,150 ly away from Sol, so staging races here isn't nearly as convenient as it is near the bubble. Still, the system is near the Traikeou AA-A h2 nebula, not far from the Sol-Colonia route. Fleet carriers travel that way regularly, so Commanders could board one and disembark along the way, shortening the trip significantly. More information on the race circuit, including a video recording, can be found here. Image credits: CMDRs Mardante Soloist and Alec Turner
