SUMMARY
A planet where the temperature can be just too hot for automatic safety systems to kick in... depending on the second.A planet orbitting a neutron star where the temperature can be just too hot for automatic safety systems to kick in from second to second.
DESCRIPTION

Not far from the World of Death (only 470 ly away), the World of Little Death is heated just slightly too much by the neutron star it orbits for Commanders to disembark on foot. The temperatures on the sunny side are right on the edge where a ship's onboard safety systems kick in and prevent pilots from disembarking. However, it appears that their sensitivity is set too large, as momentary temperature changes can lead to the safeties toggling off and on by the second.

Even if a Commander does manage to disembark, they should take extra care once they are outside, as current spacesuits can protect from temperatures this extreme for only a relatively short time.
